  • "A group of 8 of us stayed over a weekend for a Hen Do and everyone had an amazing time. Johanna has a stunning property in a great location and everyone commented on how nice it was. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery and appliances to cater for a large group of people and ample entertaining space. Johanna came to meet me after I arrived and went through the heating and the fire which was greatly appreciated. Johanna’s communication was excellent with fast replies every time I contacted her and she gave me her number to contact her over the weekend if we had any issue, to which we didn’t. If you book direct you can save yourself a considerable amount of money compared to booking through Air bnb. Johanna was in the process of having the website set up to reserve direct when I was looking to book, to which she contacted me to let me know when it was ready which was greatly appreciated as it saved me over £100! The only issue we had was the bunk beds being very squeaky, I imagine if children were using them it wouldn’t be as bad. However, this did not dampen our stay and was bearable for two nights. All in all, this is a great property with lovely hosts, would 100% recommend and would absolutely use again if I was in the area with a group of people.’"

  • "11 of us stayed at Johannas barn conversion and it did not disappoint! The location is a stones throw from lake windermere but within its own area. The barn was on a working farm so there was plenty going on to sit and watch while you're getting ready and the living space was big enough to relax altogether. I'd more than recommend staying here to any group who are looking for a lakeland visit."

  • "The bunk barn is the perfect place to stay to discover the Lake District. The bunk barn is part of a farm and we felt welcomed and safe. Great chatting to the family as they went about their day. The property is clean and well appointed. Comfortable beds, kitchen with everything you need. My only disappointment was the showers, they worked fine and I am a bit of a shower snob, I would have liked to have had control of the the temperature but they are like the ones in a swimming pool changing room with the push button. I would definitely stay here again."

  • "The barn is just as it looks in the pictures and was immaculately clean. Johanna was really helpful and responsive to messages. It’s the perfect spot to get away with a big group and had a great communal, sociable feel with the bunk beds, bathrooms and big living space. They are happy for you to use the outdoor areas and it’s easy to get taxis or drive to nearby towns and to lake Windermere. Perfect spot for big family getaways or for large groups of friends.
